Has anybody seen this guy? We seem to have lost him, what with the intrusion of religion into politics here in the states. His "followers" are so sure of everything he'd be against, what was he for? And if its not accepting of everything that his father created, as it was created, then why should I care?
The imagery kills me, too. What if Jesus were black? What if he were gay? What if he did marry Mary Magdalene? What if he was just an ordinary peace-loving guy spreading love? How many folks would that upset?
In my world, unfortunately, Jesus is apparently a studly 70's he-man. We never had a chance to be made in his image because, like the good book, we made him in our image instead.
